Our House

So after many months of house searching and patiently waiting i'm glad to say we go a house. It was a short sale and of course we waited on the bank for a while but we do love it. There was a lot of work we wanted to do to it so here is some of the things we have done so far.
We ripped out all the carpet, painted every wall and started to put wood flooring in. There are many updates up and coming with tons of pictures but I will try and give the run down on the current things that have happened.

The very nice view of our amazing yard! Nice and dead!

The Red Wall
The bluish grayish base coat we had to use to cover the red wall.
The finished paint color. This is one of a kind. It first started out as a St. George red brown and we had to add a gallon of white paint to lessen it. Advice for everyone picking out paint get samples and put them on the wall before you buy the whole bucket of paint.

This picture is pretty dark but where the stove is that wall is red too! And the took every appliance but the stove so the kitchen looks pretty bare.

Sorry i had to do a side view. But the color was really a yellow green.

We painted the bathroom and light gray to match our bedroom.

This is what we call the barbie/pink room. The fan is a barbie fan! This is one pink room. That is still what we call it even though it isnt pink anymore. I forgot to take picture of it after.
This is the master bedroom with its wonderful yellow color.

I had this vision in mind ever since we started looking for a house. Its still in progress, im wanting to do this above my bed. I think it will be so cute once i find all of these.

SYTYCD

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I had a chance to go see live performance life in SLC. It was an amazing experience and I hope I can see them the next time they come to town.
Some of the dances were of their season and some were new. They introduced every dancer one by one through the performance. And of course there was one favorite! Tadd! He was a hit and even more when he ripped his shirt off in the crowd. All the dancers were amazing and I had a blast with my man! Thanks for suprising me with those tickets babe!

Chillin waiting for it to start!

Black Island Farms

For Jacksons5th Birthday we went to Black Island Farms. It was a blast for the children. Lots of slides, mazes pig racing (for me) and kernal boxes (like a sand box). It was a perfect day to be outside with the kids. Jackson loved the big huge slide especially when he went down with grandma. Bent loved being covered in kernals by her dad!
I cant believe how big Jackson is! He looks so cute. This was the only picture I could find of him but it is pretty darn cute!

Chris and I enjoying wathcing the kids!
Char and I going into the corn maze.

Bring on the Birthdays!

For the past two months has been Birthday mania! Starting in September with My moms, brothers, sister inlaws, and brother in laws birthday. Then in October we had 6 Birthdays! Remember these two cute babies.

Yup they both turned 1! Oh have they grown so much! It has been so fun to see them learn and grow. They are the two happiest babies I have ever known. Always haveing a smile on their faces.

Pictures didnt come out that great. But they are still adorable.
Then came Jacksons 5th Birthday! I cant believe that he is already 5 years old. How time flies. Then it was my dads birthday on the 20th! Then of course my 24th Birthday. My cute husband woke up way early on his fall break to make me breakfast before I left for work. The next we went up to Park City and shopped. It was the best. I love how we made it a tradition every year to go shopping for mine and his birthday! The last there was Amy's Birthday on the 31st.

Whats been gonig on

So lately Bud and I have had fun times in bed. No not just him and I, add two little rascals to that. Yes Jackson and Charlie have found our bed. They like to come down with the ipad and play their games while their little bodies squirm around. Jackson mostly likes to make it dark (because we are in the basement) and go under the sheets to the very end of the bed. They are so funny!

Carseat Canopies

I decided that I would start a new project. I've been making the carseat canopies for a while now but just have done them here and there but now I thought I might as well make a bunch to have on hand. I find out more and more it is harder to find ones for boys. So I went out and searched for boy material and found some pretty cute ones. I also found out it is a millions times easier to buy for girls. There are so many cute prints out there, I could buy the whole store. But I started with the boys. Some could be for girls but mostly for boys.
Close up and the larger part of it. I would say this is my favorite one so far.
This one was way cute for a boy!
This one is a cute sports print.
This one could be for a boy or girl. Mostly boy because of the blue.
If anyone is interested I am selling these for $30.00. Also I am making clips so it can be a utter cover. You just clip it at the top and you could use it that way. You can email me or just post on my comments, just let me know! The girls will be coming soon. Just wait!

House Hunting

When Chris and I first started discussing when we wanted to find a house. I know it would be a long and painfull task. As most of you know I have a picky husband. So when I first started to look I had to get all of his requirements down, garage, sprinkling system, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, at least 1800 square feet, etc. It started back last year when I just started to look at houses on KSL and everyone I brought home was shut down. :( But we were in the thinking process so all I could do was dream. Then when we really got into it about 3 months ago. House after house I found wasnt what he and now I wanted. One day I was on KSL and found a house, I showed Chris and he said "ya I kinda like it". (Never in a millions years did I think he would approve, especially since this would be the first official house we actually go see). So we set up an appointment to go see it and right when we walked through it, we fell in love! But here was the down fall it was a SHORT SALE. We werent so sure what that entitled so when our Realtor told us it would take 3 to 8 months to hear on it we were devistated. We loved that house so much we couldn't wait. Well we thought about it and couldn't pass the offerr so we put a offer on it. Thank goodness we were the first one to put an offer on the house so that gets us a step closer. Well now here we are still waiting 3 months and nothing. Why do short sales have to take so long?Don't the Banks want to get rid of their mortgages? If anyone can give me a reasonable explanation as why the Banks hold those houses so long please do.

So while still waiting for that house we decided to keep looking to see if we could find anything better. 20 houses later that we've seen we ran into another house in Clinton. Well suprise suprise it is a short sale as well. But we couldn't pass that up also. So we put an offer on that one. So needless to say we are going to be waiting a long time to find our perfect house and to my husbands liking. I would agree with him after looking at all the houses you have to be picky to find the right one. I know one day we will find our house and will know it is the right one, but I want it right now. Or if anyone wants to give me a house I am totally fine with that as well perferablly this one.

I'll let you know when we do find the one! Hopefully sooner than later.

So proud!

Last week was an exciting week for my family. My brother was called to serve in the Sao Paulo Brazil Mission. I am so excited that he wants to serve our Heavenly Father. I am so proud of him and for all he has done and staying with the lord. I know he will do a great job and learn and grow in many ways. I will be sad to see him go but I know that he is doing what is right and he will become a better person for doing it. I love you boy and am very happy for you.

Even though grown up and is a giant and graduated man he is still my cute little brother. Great job Zack for getting through school and for achieving everything you did.

Vegas!

For our Anniversary Bud and I went to the city of lights! Vegas. We both haven't been to Vegas in a really long time so it was time.

We stayed in Treasure Island which was really amazing. Our view was over looking the strip.

Every night they had a show but it was too windy they couldn't put in on. It was sad because we would wait every night.

My favorite part was my dream! Shopping! They had some good shopping down here. My favorite was the Two story Forever 21! It was so big it took Bud 20 minutes to find me. Lets just say he wasn't too happy after that. You could spend hours in this place and not go through all of it.

We also went and saw a show Cirque du Soleil Mystere in Treasure Island. It was Amazing!

I forgot to take a picture of the outside. They didn't allow pictures taken inside but I should have.

This was a way fun trip! Thanks Deanna for the buddy passes.

Anniversary

My husband is so cute. Yesterday was our 3 years Anniversary and we both had to work, but he still wanted to make it special so he had some really cute flowers delivered to me. He is the best husband anyone could ask for. He is always willing to make me laugh, or twirl my hair, or help his family out. He has the kindest heart for his nieces and nephews. He is the most amazing uncle, he would do anything for them. My husband is the hardest worker both at work and home and at school. He is really brilliant at everything. It takes me 20 times to have things explained to me and only once for him. But he does his best at helping me understand and tries not to get frustrated. He has the tenderest heart for older people (suck-up) and is always willing to help them out. He is very gentle and big time mommas boy. I love how close he is to his family and how he treats everyone with kindness. I love him with all my heart and love being married to him and i'm so excited to have a lot more wonderful anniversaries with him.

I love you BUD!

So True!

I was reading on a blog and found this. It cracked me up when I read it because it is so true! Sorry its all stuck together i've tried everything so space it out. *Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong. *I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when i was younger. *Was learning cursive really necessary? *Map Quest really needs to start their direction on #5. I'm pretty srue I know how to get out of my neighborhood. *Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died. * I can't remember the last time I wasn't at lest kind of tired. *Bad decisions make good stories. *Can we all jsut agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again. *I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to. *"Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this - ever. *I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away? *I hate leavnig my hosue confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste. * I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call. *I wish Google Maps has an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option * Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it. *I would rather try to carry 10 over-loaded plastic bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in. *The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text. *I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger. *How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said? *I love the sense of camarederie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brother and sisters! (This one is for you honey!) *Shirts get dirty. Underwear get dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever. *Is it jsut me or do high school kids get dumber & dumber every year? *Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm From; this shouldn't be a problem.... *LOL has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say" *As a drive I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter when the mode of transprotation, I always hate bicyclists. *Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what to do with it. *Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is. *Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey-but i'd bet eveyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

St. George

So it was time to get a well needed break. So we packed up our bags and drove down to the great warm St. George. It was so nice feeling it get warmer as you got further down south, the best part was we had to turn on the air conditioning (haven't had that feeling in a while). Upon to getting to the lovely condos, chris's sisters are already enjoying the sun witht he kids in the swimming pool. The rest of the weekend was pretty heavenly. Waking up and walking outside to the nice warm weather, slipping on your swimsuit and laying out and catching sun on my albino skin. Standing out on the deck and seeing this amazing scene of St. George.

The best part was seeing the whole family being happy and excited because of the great weather. We had a blast and would do it again in a heart beat. Thanks Scott and Colleen!

A few pictures:
